Mezzo-soprano Anna Bonitatibus is undeniably one of the greats: acclaimed by critics and beloved by audiences, she is a versatile artist who excels in virtually every genre and masterfully performs all kinds of repertoire, from the Seicento of Monteverdi and Cavalli to the operas of Rossini, Cimarosa, and Pergolesi, including the most emblematic works of Händel (Giulio Cesare, Orlando, Tamerlano, Agrippina…). Not to mention her iconic portrayal of Mozart’s Cherubino, her contributions to other works by the Salzburg composer such as Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte, or her Carmen. Moreover, Bonitatibus is a distinguished performer of the so-called Lirica italiana da camera and carries out extraordinary work in the revival of this repertoire through her own publishing house.
On April 4th, we will have the privilege of collaborating with her in the recital Tutto Vivaldi, which will be presented at Espacio Turina as part of FeMÀS (Festival de Música Antigua de Sevilla). We will perform gems such as the cantata Cessate, o mai cessate and several arias from Orlando furioso, Andromeda liberata, Farnace, and L’Olimpiade. As for us, we won’t miss the chance to play La Follia, a piece we have yet to find anyone who doesn’t love!
