Our orchestra will be part of a cultural delegation traveling to Rome this autumn to take part in a triple commemoration: the thousand-year anniversary of the founding of Montserrat, the 40th edition of the Peralada festival (taking place in 2026), and the Jubilee Year. The project couldn’t be more unique and ambitious, as our participation is part of a comprehensive agenda including concerts, exhibitions, and lectures, scheduled from October 1st to 3rd.
Our first concert will be held on October 1st and will revolve around our Corelliana program, featuring concerti grossi by Corelli, Scarlatti, Händel and Geminiani. The following day we’ll be joined by exceptional guests: soprano Sara Blanch and Cantoría, a vocal ensemble specializing in Renaissance and Baroque polyphony. Together we’ll pay tribute to Domènec Terradellas, the most internationally renowned Catalan musician of the 18th century, who spent much of his career in Italy and is buried in Rome. A wonderful way to come full circle!
