Vespres d'Arnadí will give the starting shot on July 1 to the third edition of its baroque music festival in the city of Barcelona. After a first edition dedicated to the relationship of the baroque Venice with Catalonia (2016) and Händel in the 2017 edition, this year the festival is presented as a tribute to another of the most interpreted Baroque authors: Johann Sebastian Bach.
Throughout the 12 years of existence of Vespres d'Arnadí, Bach has been present on a regular basis in concerts and training cycles, as is the case of the integral of the cantatas presented both in Barcelona and in Madrid.
The aim of the festival is to become a true Baroque production hub in Barcelona. "We want the city of Barcelona to enjoy a center of Baroque production as it happens in major European cities such as Paris, Cologne or Vienna, within the historic spaces of our city in order to enhance the historical heritage for the local public and also to the visitors that look for a cultural alternative of quality ", assure their people in charge.
