After presenting Furioso program with the countertenor Xavier Sabata at the prestigious Händel Festival in Halle, Vespres d'Arnadí will launch the second edition of our Baroque Music Festival in the city of Barcelona. If the first edition was dedicated to the relationship of the Baroque Venice with Catalonia, in this edition we thought it convenient to pay tribute to Georg Friedrich Händel.

This composer has been and is one of the authors most frequented to our programs throughout the 10 years of our group's history. This is demonstrated by opera recitals with soloists such as Sunhae Im, Nuria Rial, Xavier Sabata, Maria Hinojosa, Marta Infante or Maria Espada; the opera Rodelinda presented at the Via Stellae Festival in Santiago de Compostela (with Maarten Engeltjes, Simon Kirkbride or Juan Sancho); the instrumental concerts of great format as they are Fireworks and Watermusic; The Messiah interpreted with one of the choirs with more projection of the country as it is O Vos Omnes of Xavier Pastrana; the last of our recordings with the soprano María Espada dedicated to Händel's favorite soprano Anna Maria Strada del Po; and, a few hours from festival, having participated in two editions of the most important festival in Germany dedicated to the Saxon composer in his native Halle.

This year we presented three delicious concerts by Vespres d'Arnadí, Roger Padullés (tenor), María Hinojosa (soprano), Josep Ramon Olivé (baritone) and actress Clara Altarriba under the direction of Dani Espasa.
